Fiji Airways has added seven extra flight services to their Tonga route.

Fiji Airways told FBC News that, demand for travel to Tonga has been high due to the eleven day celebration of the coronation for King Tupou VI.

The national carrier has added six services for their Boeing 737 aircraft on Tuesdays and Fridays from last week until 10th July.

It has also added one service to their ATR 72 aircraft last Saturday.

The coronation ceremony will take place this Saturday in Nuku-alofa, Tonga’s capital city.
