Mirchi FM Bum Me Hai Dum: Tiredness and muscle cramps affect competitors

Mirchi FM’s Bum Meh Hai Dum has lost another competitor.

Joyce Chand was unable to stand during the start of the 11am break and had to be assisted by the medical team.

10 competitors now remain in the challenge, half the number that started the competition on Thursday in a marathon sit down.

Tiredness, muscle cramps and slumber has begun to kick in for the ten remaining competitors as they are half way into the third day of the competition.

The competition is currently in its 49th hour.

The 10 competitors have had no time to waste during their 20 minute break every four hours as the rush to their families for foot massages, food and drinks while others have power naps.

Daughter of competitor Reena Devi from Nawaka, Nadi, Ashwantika Devi says she knew that her mum had the courage to join the competition and she reckons she can win it.

“I’m here to give my mum my full support. We came here and we are at my brother’s place so it’s amazing the feeling right now.”

In Mirchi FM’s Bum Meh Hai Dum competition, competitors sit on a designated mat for four hours without spilling the cups of water beside them as an added obstacle.

Competitors also have to ensure they’re seated on their mats on time after the 20 minute break every four hours.

Those who do not meet these requirements will be disqualified.

The last competitor sitting will walk away with a $60,000 dollar two -bedroom house.
