The fifth suspect in the case of the alleged sexual assault case on Iowane Benedito, Pita Matairavula, has been remanded in custody.

He was interviewed by Police earlier today and charged before being produced at the Nasinu Magistrates Court.

He is remanded in custody until November 13, when the court will give a ruling on his bail application.

The other four accused persons in this matter are currently on bail on strict conditions and their matter will be called on December 2.
