Acting Director for Legal Aid, Shahin Ali

Legal Aid will continue to work closely with the judicial department to ensure that all Fijians have equal access to justice.

Acting Director for Legal Aid, Shahin Ali says there are many challenges in trying to deliver quality legal services to the people.

With the ongoing training and workshop with the judicial department, Ali says Legal Aid officers have been reminded to carry out their responsibilities diligently.

“The Chief Justice is a great leader, he is visionary and he is very supportive of the work the legal aid commission does and he has released his judicial officers to conduct training for our lawyers and improve the standard of our lawyers at the legal aid commission.”

Ali says they will ensure that expectations of the public are met when asking or seeking for legal assistance.
