Indian Government invested over $4.4 million in SME sector

Fiji and India’s bilateral relationships have grown steadily during past few years due to immense collaboration in various sectors.

The Indian government has so far invested over $4.4 million in Fiji’s Small Medium Enterprise sector.

Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Vishvas Sapkal says they are committed to the development of the SME sector.

“We have already distributed US 2.2m dollars of grant that is 4752 Fijian beneficiaries have got this grant and are contributing significantly towards the economy.”

Meanwhile, Indian Government will build a center for excellence in IT at the Fiji National University which will become the hub for establishing tele medicine and tele education services.
