Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete confirms they are currently working to improve their logistic supply of medicines.

Dr Waqainabete says there have been many setbacks in the past however – there are avenues in place to ensure there are stock of medicines available to meet the increasing demand.

Dr Waqainabete says acquiring of medicine in the world market is not an easy task.

“We have to understand that even though we are a big country but in the global market there is economies of scale so we are actually buying against other major health care providers”

He says the government has allocated funds in the budget to cater for the purchasing of medical equipment and medicine.
