The Government, through the Ministry of Education has given eighty thousand dollars to Ravitaki District School in Kadavu to upgrade facilities for students.

The funding was handed over by Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy during a recent visit to the school.

Ravitaki School Manager, Sanaila Ratumaimuri says two new boys’ hostels will be constructed to accommodate 13 boarders.

He adds a new teachers quarters will also be built at the school.

There are four teachers taking classes from Year 1 to Year 8.

Most of the students come from Ravitaki Village.
