The Fiji Sugar Corporation has embarked on a new direction to enhance grower engagement.
Chief operating officer, Navin Chandra held meetings with growers in Nadrala, Nawamaqi and Lomawai in Sigatoka to discuss issues affecting cane development.
Chandra says in order to achieve the objective of 4 million tonnes of cane, FSC is rigorously encouraging cane development across all cane sectors.
He adds they recognize growers are key to the future growth of the industry and FSC will continue to engage this important stakeholder.
Chandra says finding long-term solutions are mutually beneficial to the sugar cane growing community and FSC.
