The Fiji Sugar Corporation is working with brokers in Singapore to look at opportunities for export in their market.
Chief Executive Graham Clarke says Singapore is a hub for Asia and this will help FSC attain other Asian markets as well.
Clarke says this will mean more exposure of Fijian sugar.
“The taste preference in China is changing rapidly and they are moving in the direction of health consciousness, what’s happening in the developed world and the brown sugar we supply from Fiji is really sought after.”
Clarke says the FSC is also trying to get the best price for Fiji’s sugar by looking at non-traditional markets.
