A new sub-committee on the new Framework For Pacific Regionalism has had its first meeting in Suva to look at ways to successfully implement the Framework.
The Framework will replace the 10-year old Pacific Plan which was implemented by the Pacific Islands Forum.
The new sub-committee made up of 7 individuals from the Pacific will take proposals on issues affecting the Pacific from people from all walks of life.
The committee will start receiving proposals from the 27th of this month and continue for 7 weeks.
The committee will then meet in July to go through the proposals out of which only 5 will be selected and put forward to the Pacific Leaders for their perusal when they meet in September in Papua New Guinea.
