Four men, who allegedly murdered a 21-year-old boat captain of Nadi last week, have been denied bail by the Nadi Magistrates Court.

Vilimoni Nayatelevu, Ulayasi Glen Radike, Anare Mara and Kelemedi Sevura have been remanded in custody.

State lawyer Livai Sovau objected to bail saying the offence is serious and there’s tension in the community.

Magistrate Mohammed Ajmeer has remanded them until December 18th.

It’s alleged the four assaulted the deceased over a packet of cigarettes last
Thursday, which resulted in his death.
