Foreign Minister welcomes budget

Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola says the 2015 National budget is practical and captures key issues.

In his Budget response, Ratu Inoke says this will enable Fiji to continue along a path to realize and harvest its true potential.

The Ministry has been allocated forty-one point eight million dollars and increase of one-point six million dollars from last year.

Ratu Inoke says his Ministry will continue to put Fiji in the international arena and mark its presence.

‘’The Ministry is positive that already as a high achieving ministry we can definitely tweak our foreign policies for a better and that to with confidence. The Ministry works closely with Investment Fiji to facilitate both local and foreign direct investments in improving Fiji’s economic growth prospects’’.

Fiji has established foreign diplomatic relations with one hundred and sixty-four countries and is committed to establishing ties with remaining twenty-nine countries of the United Nations family.
