Flood warning remains in force

A flood warning remains in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas downstream of Ciri station of Tuva river in Sigatoka.

A flood alert remains inforce for the low lying areas and small streams, Vanualevu,Northern and eastern parts of Viti Levu, downstream of Nasivi station to Tavua town and downstream of Vatukacevaceva station to Rakiraki town.

A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group, Viti Levu, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands.

The Fiji Metrological Services says an active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji and this is expected to affect the group until later tomorrow.

Flood warning remains in force

A flood warning remains in force for the low lying areas, small streams and area adjacent to downstream of Emuri station to semo village along Seno river.

A flood alert remains in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to downstream of Ba FSC mill station along Ba river.

The flood alert that was previously in force the low lying areas and small streams for the downstream of Vatutu station to Nadi town along Nadi river, Nasivi station and to Tavua town along Nasivi river,Vatukacevaceva station to Rakiraki town along Rakiraki river, Toge station along Seno river and Keiyasi station is now cancelled.

Severe tropical cyclone gita category 3 located to the far southwest of Fiji is moving southwest further away from the group.

Associated rainband continues to affect parts of the group.

A flood warning remains in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to downstream of Ba FSC mill station to Ba town along Ba river; Emuri station to Semo village along Seno river; Vatutu station to Nadi town from Navo bridge.

A flood alert remains in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to downstream of; Nasivi station and to Tavua town along Nasivi river; Vatukacevaceva station to Rakiraki town along Rakiraki river; Toge station along Ba river; Keiyasi station along Sigatoka river; Votualevu station to Nadi town along Nadi river.

A heavy rain warning is in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca group, northern and western Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

Flood warning remains in force

A flood warning remains in force for the following areas.

Low lying areas and small streams for the Northern, Eastern Viti Levu and Western half of Vanua Levu.

Low lying areas and small streams adjacent to and downstream of Rakiraki Town; low lying areas and the downstream of Navolau station.

Low lying areas and small streams adjacent to Rakiraki town and downstream of Rakiraki Station.

In Rewa, the flood warning is for low lying areas and adjacent to Rewa bridge station and downstream of Nausori Town.

A flood warning is also in force for low lying areas and those adjacent to Wailotua and Nayavu Station and areas downstream of Wainibuka River

A flood alert remains in force for low lying areas and the downstream of Waimanu Station; low lying areas and areas adjacent to Nabukaluka Station and downstream of Nabukaluka river.

The Wailotua Station was at 7.85M at 11am which is 3.85M above the warning level and increasing.

The Rakiraki Station was at 3.9m at 11am which is 1.9m above warning level and increasing; the Nayavu Station was 9.21m – 1.21M above warning level and increasing.

The Rewa bridge was at 5.41M – 0.91m above warning level, but slowly decreasing.

The water level at the Navolau Station was 10.05m at 11am – 2.05m above warning level and decreasing.

The water level at the Waimanu Station and the Nabukaluka Station are also dropping.

Flood warning remains in force

A flood warning remains in force for most parts of the country as well as a heavy rain warning which is in force for the whole of Fiji group.

Tropical disturbance TD15F was located near 19.4s 176.9e or about 195km Southwest of Nadi. It is moving southeast at about 20 km/hr.

Associated active trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji.

A flood alert remains in force for the following areas:

For all small streams, creeks and low lying areas adjacent to major rivers for the whole of fiji; low lying areas and areas adjacent to Nayavu station and areas downstream the Wainibuka river; low lying areas and areas adjacent to Nairukuruku station and downstream the Wainimala river; low lying areas and areas to the downstream of Rewa river; low lying areas and areas to the downstream of Navua river; low lying areas and adjacent to Dewala station along the Labasa river; low lying areas and areas to Dreketilailai station along the Labasa river; low lying areas and areas to Labasa civic along the Labasa river; low lying areas and areas to Waimanu station along Waimanu river.
