Denarau will introduce Fiji’s first toll bridge late next year.

Denarau Corporation Ltd CEO Rupeni Fonmanu says Government has approved
funding to the tune of $8 million for the new bridge.

Fonmanu says the government wants the funding recovered thus a toll
system will help generate revenue.

He adds they will ensure minimum impact on the activities on Denarau when
construction starts later this year.

Consultations will be held with stakeholders to determine what levy to charge
vehicles that use the bridge.
