The Fiji Police Force is advising social media users and party supporters to be cautious of what they post online especially leading up to the General Election, to ensure it doesn’t bring about differences.

This is after a mother and her two daughters received death threats from a fake account on Facebook because they were supporting a certain political party.

30-year-old, Ashiana Begum claims she has been subject to death threats because of her support for the ruling FijiFirst.

Begum further claims a man using a fake account on Facebook has even gone to the extreme of mentioning that he would rape and murder her daughters who are one and 6-years-old.
