Fiji Red Cross joins forces China

The Fiji Red Cross is expanding the International Red Cross 2020 strategy by welcoming a partnership with the Red Cross Society of China.

The President of the Fiji Red Cross Society, Jerome Kado, says the vision for the pair is to do more, do better and be able to reach the most vulnerable in
society.

Kado also says both the Red Cross societies have under gone an
Organizational Capacity Assessment Certification Review.

He adds the review has enabled both organizations to identify their strengths and weaknesses which will allow them to make changes in future.

The Partnership will be formally solidified through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding tomorrow.

The Red Cross is also advocating for a global development agenda which will cover all issues that need to be attended to in the region.

Both organizations say that this meeting signifies the commitment to work together and to learn off each other by sharing experiences.
