A hearing date has been set for a former senior customs officer charged with bribery related offences.

Rajit Sen’s hearing will be on the 9th of May next year.

It’s alleged that Sen solicited an advantage of $500 from one Salesh Kumar Trading as Raj Kava Dealers in April last year.

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption claims this was payment for Sen namely changing markings on a consignment.

Sen is alleged to have accepted an advantage of $200 namely helping Kumar in his future dealings with Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority.

He appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
