Eighty-one people charged for non-sexual violence offences

Eighty-one people were charged with a total of eighty-eight counts of non-sexual violence offences last month.

These offences include murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, aggravated robbery, burglary theft and other offences.

The DPP’s Office says these 81 people, two were police officers.

There were ten juveniles who were also charged with separate offences.

There were fifty victims of these serious offences .

For the aggravated robbery offences, the items stolen ranged from $105 to $30,000 worth of property.

The statistics also reveals that for aggravated robbery and theft offences, the items stolen range from $166 worth of alcohol to $24,965 worth of property.
