Eight complaints against registered surveyors

Eight complaints have been made against registered surveyors who have reportedly overloaded themselves with work and were unable to complete projects.

The Fiji Institute of Surveyors says these complaints were registered since last year.

President Paserio Samisoni says the delay by surveyors to approve plans is one of the major concerns.

“We have suspended a surveyor and we have de registered one for taking up so many jobs without completing it and it has taken poor clients many years, paid so much money.”

He says registering more surveyors will help address the issue.

Meanwhile, the Institute is also calling on the people to be wary of bogus surveyors as thirteen complaints have been received against un-registered surveyors operating their own companies.
