Good news for DAV College in Ba as they now have a new classroom block.

Minister for Education Rosy Akbar says the project was part of the Tropical Cyclone Winston Rehabilitation Fund and cost over $800,000.

Akbar says the Ministry has successfully upgraded and rebuilt the vast majority of schools, some with assistance from foreign governments, which were destroyed and damaged by Tropical Cyclone Winston in 2016.

With 434 schools sustaining various levels of damage from TC Winston, the Government has spent over $240 million in rehabilitation work.
