The driver of the vehicle who allegedly hit a police motorcycle in Suva yesterday afternoon has been questioned and released.

The accident happened along the Queen Elizabeth Drive which resulted in the police officer sustaining minor injuries.

The police cyclist from the Southern Division Highway was closing the road for a VIP escort when the incident occurred.

Investigation continues.

Police are urging drivers to be mindful and cautious of police motorcyclists to avoid such incidents.
