SODELPA’s silence on the racist remarks made by Mosese Bulitavu and its former President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu speaks volumes of its leadership.

This is how HOPE Party Leader Tupou Draunidalo describes SODELPA, as few weeks after the racial outburst no action have been taken against them.

Draunidalo has condemned comments made by Bulitavu and Ratu Naiqama and he has pointed out party leader Sitiveni Rabuka’s silence on the issue.

“If they have a party leader that’s ethnocentric, has a history of ethnocentricity, has brought chaos to the country more than once before so you don’t expect the party to reflect anything other than that.”

Efforts to try and get comments from Rabuka and Party President Ro Filipe Tuisawau remains futile.

Draunidalo says SODELPA should stop claiming that majority I-taukei supports them when records showed a lot of I-taukei people voting for Fiji First.

“They seem to think they are the only party that represents the Itaukei, its clear from the numbers that the governing party represents the majority i-taukei.”

Meanwhile, Bulitavu was taken in for a caution interview with Police last week however the public eagerly awaits on what action the party will take, if any.
