Draft revised constitution for Methodist Church meet

The annual general conference of the Methodist Church will discuss a draft revised constitution later this month.

Church President Reverend Tevita Nawadra says the draft of the constitution and regulations/policies have been circulated to the 56 Divisions for discussions ahead of the conference in Suva next week.

“In the years to come conference will continue to bring in new items if they want to change the constitution but as for this change the constitution is now ibn place to be voted for during the conference and alongside the constitution there is also the regulations we have not really finished with the regulations we have just completed three and others we will work on and represent the regulations of the constitution in 2016 during the conference.”

A review of the Constitution, Regulations & Policies was approved by the church in 2013.

This year’s annual conference will begin on the 24th of this month.
