Details on roads closure sketchy: FRA

Northern Division is currently experiencing an extensive loss in communication and the Fiji Roads Authority says it is only able to get sketchy information at present.

Lautoka, Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki have limited communication.

FRA Contractors are concentrating efforts to open up Kings Road to get necessary emergency equipment to these areas.

The Labasa to Sauvsau Hiway is open to all traffic, however the Savusavu Jetty is closed due to damage.

Queens Road from Bau to Lomawai is open however people are advised to drive with caution as trees a fallen along the way.

Kings Road from Nabulini to Yaqara is closed and the road near Kasavu village is open to light traffic.

Drasa flat is closed due to fallen trees while Naqoro flats in Rakiraki is closed due to flooding.

The main street in Lautoka is closed and only one lane on Dilkusha Road along Princess Road is open.

Roads have been closed due to fallen trees and isolated flooding throughout all divisions.

FRA’s contractors are currently clearing all main roads and emergency service access roads then will be concentrating on feeder roads to ensure access is restored.
