Independent Political candidate Roshika Deo supports the Legalizing of Abortions in the country.

Deo told FBC News that women should have the right to choose.

I think that with the sexual reproductive health of women and girls, its important that they have autonomy over their body, it’s important that they’re able to make decisions that impact their lives, it’s a decision that is entirely up to the girls and women involved and that find themselves in this situation.

Asked on her stance on same sex marriages, Deo says this is an issue that needs thorough consultation with all of Fiji’s constituents.

I think the people in Fiji need to discuss this and also hold discussions with theLBIGQ community to be able to decide on this.

Deo is ONE of two independents contesting the 2014 General Elections.
