Denarau will host a Music Month next May after the much awaited Jazz and Blues festival was cancelled after one of the organizers pulled out.

As part of their marketing plan to lure more tourists into the country, Destination Denarau as it will be known will showcase a string of events on the island.

Denarai Corporation Chief executive Rupeni Fonmanu says they aim to rope more tourists in during off peak months.

“There will be a whole other number of events taking place from November on and there will be Marine month in November so that would be interesting as well.”

Fonmanu says the program will also see some renowned musicians taking part.
