A man who was found dead outside a nightclub in Suva has been identified by family members.

Police are still treating the matter as a case of interest awaiting a post mortem report.

Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu says the matter is now with the CID.

“Investigation is ongoing. The body is now at the hospital and the Criminal Investigation Department is investigating. It’s unfortunate to have such cases. He was taken to the hospital by police, unfortunately he passed away.”

The deceased was seen lying outside the O’Reilly’s nightclub at about 2am.

The scene has been cordoned off.
