The Labasa Chamber of Commerce says a large number of people are flocking to the town to do their last minute Christmas shopping.

Chamber President – Ashok Karan says things are getting back to normal in the friendly north after Cyclone Evan.

“Since we had few days of restricted movement due to the cyclone, people are actually coming in large numbers so we expect a big hike and lot of shopping. Most of the shops are quite busy.”

Karan is advising shop owners in the North, not to lure customers but provide them with the best deals.
