Business in the capital city recorded a boom this year as a lot of new businesses opened their doors.

The Special Administrator of the Suva City Council, Chandu Umaria says over 400 new businesses began operations this year.

“Some of them have come from the Western Division because of the flooding in Nadi and Western division they have come to Suva. The other thing to note is that Suva is growing."

Umaria is urging existing businesses to apply for the renewal of licenses now and not wait until the last minute.
