More than half of the landowning units in a part of Bua have given their consent to the sealing of the Dreketi to Nabouwalu Road.

There are 55 landowning units along the Dreketi and Nabouwalu road that is to be sealed.

Roko Tui Bua Rupeni Kunaturaga says some landowners have actually visited the Provincial Council office while some have sent their written consent.

A team from the Department of National Roads has started an awareness programme with the villagers to inform them of what will be involved in the upgrading of the road.

The road upgrade is expected to start in September and will take 30 months to complete.
