Authority work towards providing affordable housing

The Housing Authority of Fiji is working towards providing affordable housing to meet the housing needs of people in the country.

The authority’s new chief executive officer Joshua Wycliff revealed this to FBC News.

Wycliff says they will have to go through certain challenges to provide affordable housing to the people of Fiji.

“The Key challenge we face is to given the rising cost of construction in real estate and which is not only contain in Fiji its globally the same everywhere around the world the cost of construction of real estate have gone up and be able to keep it at a affordable cost with a conventional construction it makes it a lot more challenge.”

Wycliff adds they will work closely with local and international partners in order to improve the services they provide.
