Adimaitoga to advocate for farmers

November 27, 2018 3:40 am

Government MP Selai Adimaitoga says that women’s empowerment is a key focus for government and one that she campaigned on to secure her seat in Parliament.

She says given her background in farming, the agriculture sector and women’s equal participation in the male dominated field, will be one she will continue to advocate for over the next the four years.

“I’m very happy to speak on Women Sugarcane Farmers. They’re very effective examples of their own communities. Sugarcane Farmers like I, continue empowering women because FijiFirst values women’s rights to access their entitlements and privileges guaranteed under the constitution unencumbered by discrimination, culture or oppressive religious interpretation.”
