MRG Productions from the United States is currently shooting a movie called ‘Pearl of Paradise’ in Pacific Harbor near Navua which has a total budget of more than five million dollars.

Executive Producer, Michael Goldstein says it’s a romantic movie whereby the main actress comes to Fiji on an adventure to find the mythical blue pearl with an author.

“So far we are on day eight and we are shooting fifteen days but we also had sort of two movies back to back, so the first movie was shot for fifteen days and we are shooting for fifteen days now. So ‘Free Rain’ was the first one. That was the great idea that we were able to get everybody and do it economically by being able to shoot to productions at the same time.”

He says a total of ninety-six local crew and one hundred overseas crew members are working on the production.

Meanwhile, Free Rain was another movie that was also shot by the production house at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort earlier this month.
