4 applicants shortlisted for NFA CEO post

The National Fire Authority Board and KPMG accounting firm have conducted and completed interviews for the Authority’s, Chief Executive Officer’s post.

Permanent Secretary for Infrastructure and Transport Francis Kean says four applicants were shortlisted for the position.

‘‘The full board then convened again later on the recommendations of the interview panel and KPMG and we have submitted our recommendations to the Honourable Minister for Local Government’’.

Kean says they are now awaiting a decision from the Minister for Local Government Praveen Kumar before revealing the new head of the NFA.

The contract for former and now Acting CEO John O’Connor expired at the end of March.
