24 officers commissioned for RFMF

Twenty-four cadets have been commissioned as officers in the Fiji Military Forces at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Suva today.

The successful candidates have completed a one-year officer cadet course.

RFMF Land force Commander, Colonel Sitiveni Qiliho says today’s pass out parade saw the highest number of graduates ever.

‘’We haven’t had an officer cadet training conducted in the past years so we’ve come out with these cadet training which started late last year. We started with over 70 candidates and 24 survived the vigorous course’’.

Officiating at the parade Acting Commander, Commodore Viliame Naupoto reminded the officers to uphold military law, make wise decisions and be good leaders.

Five other officers currently in training in Australia and New Zealand will be commissioned in the next few months.
