Weightlifter Apolonia Vaivai will be no stranger to the Commonwealth Games as she aims for a gold medal win in her category.
The 24-year-old from Ovalau won the bronze medal in the women’s 75 kg in the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Vaivai says nothing is impossible if the heart and mind is firmly set on the goal ahead.
“In all the sacrifices I am doing now, I know nothing is impossible, I am giving in all and asking strength from the Lord and I know nothing is impossible.”
She is one of the seven weightlifters who have qualified for the Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
The Commonwealth Games will be held from the 4th to the 15th of April.
