The Suva football side aims to at least reach the semi-finals of the Pacific Cup tournament in New Zealand this week.

Suva has not tasted glory in local tournaments since last year’s Inter District Championships and have lost some key players in the latest transfer window.

The capital city side was dealt with another blow with forward, Nickel Chand not being able to travel with the team to New Zealand due to injury.

Suva has been pooled with Nadi, Manukau All Stars, Wellington All Stars and defending champions New Zealand All Stars.

The team’s first match is against New Zealand All Stars at 9pm on Wednesday.
