Defending champion Newline Chemical Suva has proven to be the team to beat after the conclusion of Super Premier games in the Sangam football tournament underway in the capital.

The side beat Ba 2-0 in its first match and put in a solid performance.

Last year’s runner-up Rifle Range had to settle for a 0-0 draw with Labasa, who lost Kushal Naciker to a red card early in the game.
