Suva football in top form ahead of Fiji FACT

The Suva football side will be a team to watch in the Vodafone Fiji FACT this weekend.

Laced with several national reps like goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau, defenders Remueru Takiate, Filipe Baravilala and midfielder Madhavan Goundar the side is confident of a good outing in its pool games.

Tamanisau says their first match against Lautoka will set the platform in the tournament.

“We are in a pool of death with OFC Champions League finalist Lautoka, including a champion team like Nadi and a very developing Tavua side.”

The capital city side last won the Fiji FACT title in 2012, beating Ba 1-0 at Govind Park.

The side has reached five finals, winning two.

Meanwhile, in the first game on day one, Nadi plays Tavua at 1.30pm then Labasa faces Dreketi at 4pm, Suva meets Lautoka at 6pm and Rewa battles it out against Ba at 8pm.
