South Africa loss still hurting players-Ryan

February 2, 2016 12:40 am

Vodafone Fiji 7’s coach, Ben Ryan says the players are still hurting from their 31-0 loss to South Africa in the Wellington 7’s last weekend.

Fiji had no answer in the semi-final drubbing against the Blitzbokke and Ryan says they will have to tweak their game-plan for this weekend’s Sydney 7’s.

“They dominated our breakdowns, threw lots of players in from different angles. Slowed us down, played a very good game, it seemed to work and you can’t complain if they score four tries against you. We’ve got to take it on the chin and we’re looking forward to meeting them next week hopefully.”
