Fiji 7s legend Waisale Serevi is in Russia to begin his new role as the 7s head coach.
This was confirmed by the Rugby Union Russia on their official Twitter page early this morning.
The Union tweeted, “Waisale has arrived in Anapa, where he met with the coaching and playing staff of the Men’s National Sevens Team”.
Meanwhile, apart from his contribution to the Fijian rugby and 7s rugby, the maestro has also coached the Fiji 7s side from 2005 to 2007.
Under Serevi’s leadership the Fiji 7s side won the World Series title and the World Cup in Hong Kong in 2005.
