Sau ready for sevens debut

Fijian Drua back utility, Eroni Sau is ready to make his dream run in the opening round of the World Rugby Sevens Series in Dubai next weekend.

Sau, who was in his best form for the Drua in the National Rugby Championship this season, is expected to make a huge impact in the 7s code.

He says, his wait is finally over and is ready to give his best shot in Dubai.

“I have been trying for years was not able to make it in 2013, I was dropped I thought it was the end of the road for me in 7s. I have been called again for 7s in Dubai, it will be an emotional moment and I will give my best.”

Sau switched from rugby league to union, played for Suva and the Warriors.
He was dropped from the Fiji 7s squad in 2013.

Fiji kicks off the Dubai 7s campaign against Russia on the 1st of December at 7.06pm; they then play Wales at 10.06pm and face Australia a day later at 4.06am.

The final will be played on the 3rd of December at 4.33am.
