Fiji Airways Flying Fijians coach, John McKee says discussion on the insurance dispute between World Rugby and Premiership Rugby Limited continues.

The Heads of the Premiership Rugby Limited are not backing down in the insurance row over player access ahead of the World Cup.

The PRL have escalated things by writing to World Rugby, saying if they do not agree with the changes made to its regulations governing player’s insurance, they will take legal action.

The insurance dispute will likely affect the release of players including Fijian players who are playing for clubs in Europe.

Fiji would potentially be without the likes of Leicester’s Campese Ma’afu, Newcastle Falcons trio Tevita Cavubati, Nemani Nagusa and Vereniki Goneva and many others.

Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Georgia and Uruguay in the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
