The focus may be on Japan at the moment but it does not take away the fact that there are two other quality teams Fiji needs to worry about in their pool at the Dubai 7s.

The statement is according to Head Coach Gareth Baber.

The national coach says France, in particular, is an unorthodox side just like Fiji.

Baber says they have to worry about all the three teams in the pool as they are capable of turning the tables on Fiji.

“We know obviously from what they’ve done the last season I haven’t seen them four or five months we play France a number of times and we played them in the Hong Kong final you know we always found them as tough opponents they play a game very similar to us now which is an encouragement of offloads creation of space and they’ve got some good and dangerous ball attack players.”

Fiji will play Japan at 4:02 am on Friday in its first Dubai 7s pool match before meeting Argentina at 10:04 pm also on Friday.

The final pool match will be against France at 4:02 am on Saturday.
