The Macuata Rugby Union is utilizing local talent as it looks to make a comeback to the A division this year.

Not only is the squad for the side picked from local clubs, they are also getting in local qualified experts and coaches to help the team.

Macuata Rugby Union Chair Usaia Turaganivalu says they are utilizing the knowledge and services FRU Development Officer in the North Lemeki Savua and the Fiji Sports Commission to help their side.

“The most important people in developing rugby here in the North are helping us in training of coaches and players as well.”

Macuata has seven games in the Vodafone Vanua Cup Competition this season. Four games will be played at home.

Their first game is against Bua next week.
