Flying Fijians coach John McKee has revealed that back row Viliame Mata is all but ruled out of the match against Uruguay in the Rugby World Cup.

McKee says Mata has a calf injury, which is why he had to come off at half-time against Australia and probably be recovered in time for Uruguay.

Impressive Peceli Yato failed a head injury assessment against Australia and it will not be possible for him to be cleared for Uruguay, because six days is the minimum turnaround time with a head injury.

Semi Kunatani who missed the game against Australia is still recovering from an injury.

McKee says this means they have to do a little bit of shuffling in the forward pack but they have some good quality players to be able to cover all bases.

The mentor says with three games to go, the team needs to win these games to stand a chance of making the quarter-final.

McKee names his team to face Uruguay at 3 pm today.
