Northampton Saints has announced that New Zealand’s Owen Franks will join the club from the Canterbury-based Crusaders.

Franks thanked the Crusaders fans and says he will give his best shot in the Super Rugby this season.

“Crusaders club has given a lot of me and I’m extremely thankful to the Crusaders and all the fans. I would like to share my gratitude by putting my best performances out for the team.”

Franks has played a 106 test for the All Blacks since his debut in 2009 and also has a 145 caps for the Crusaders.

He will feature for the side against the Blues in their opening Super Rugby match at 6.35pm tomorrow.
