I am blessed to be given the opportunity to represent Fiji: Sims

The name “Sims” is not new in the Rugby League arena and her presence will surely be felt in the Prime Minister’s XIII tournament next Friday.

Canecia Sims will make her second appearance for her mother’s birth country as Fiji prepares to take on The Australian Prime Minister’s XIII.

The youngest of the Sims clan says she is blessed to be given the opportunity to represent Fiji.

“We have a nucleus of the same girls from June and then we have a few new additions that a Fijian based girls, local girls that will be contributing a lot of flair in strength and defence.”

Sims believes teamwork is not an issue for the Bulikula girls.

 

“From day one we all gelled and all the girls that we didn’t know we all got to know really really quickly, we have been in camp for just under a week now but it feels like we have been together forever so it’s great.”

The Fiji Prime Ministers 13 Women’s team will take on Australian Prime Ministers 13 Women’s team at 5.30pm next Friday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
