However the contenders Melbourne Storm remain firmly on track for another minor premiership after last week’s comfortable disposal of Newcastle.

The Bulldogs broke a long losing streak with around 11 upset of the Knights and they were valiant in going down 18-16 to the Eels last week.

But the Bulldogs will need to produce something truly special to overcome the Storm when the sides meet at 5pm today.

In other NRL matches today, the Knights meets the West Tigers at 7:30pm and the Panthers play the Raiders at 9.35 pm.

Tomorrow, the Titans take on the Cowboys at 4pm and Sharks face the Eels at 6:05pm.
