Ra takes early lead

Ra athletes have taken the early lead with medals won at the Western Chow Games in Lautoka.

They’ve scooped gold in the 1,500-metre race in the Under 12 and Under 13 girls grades.

Udite Adiyawa finished the U12 race in a time of 5.29.46 minutes, team mate Sera Rokonai came in second while Navosa runner, Adi Keri Lauvou finished third.

The unofficial medal tally has Ra collecting 5 gold and 3 silver and 2 bronze.
Nadroga is second with 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.

Lautoka is in third place with 1 gold and 1 silver while Nadi has 2 silver and 1 bronze.

Navosa is also on the table with 1 silver and 2 bronze.

The boys 1,500m race is underway at Churchill Park.
